I've been struggling with this question for a long time: When is it preferable to be irrational?
It seems like the sort of statement you can't answer logically because if there's a rational reason to be irrational, then isn't that irrationality rational?
And if not, you can't arrive at an answer because it best serve you to be irrational at irrational times, which would be unpredictable.
